My name is Glenn Maclean and hold an extra class ham radio license  WA7SPY.  I have been a licensed ham since 1986.  I enjoy many aspects of ham radio HF CW, Public Service, building and maintaining FM repeaters.  I am self taught with electronics.

I have been a licensed FAA Airframe and Powerplant Aircraft mechanic since June of 1973.  I worked on general aviation aircraft in the early 70’s and then went to work for Cessna Aircraft Company at the Sacramento Citation Service Center in January of 1979.  I have been working there ever since on Cessna Citation Jets as a lead aircraft mechanic.  I spent 20 years through out the Pacific Northwest including Western Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska.  I would repair Cessna Citation Jets when they were unable to fly to the Service Center.  I am retired from Cessna Aircraft Company which is now called Textron Aviation.

I enjoy helping people and supporting public service events using ham radio communications for tracking of participants to keep them safe.

I believe in being prepared and enjoy taking portable cross band radios and portable repeaters to mountain tops for temporary communications.
